The Coming of the New Decade
A new decade is coming. Another ten years of happiness, of sadness, of love, of failure, of success--of life. What will happen ten years from now? We don't know. No one knows. What we all know is that we are entering a new phase of our life. Will this decade be as good as the last? Will this decade be as bad as the last? The past determines our future. As we are nearing that new decade, i will try to re-collect my year, my 2009. What happened the whole year? What are the most winning moments? The fail ones? I tried to recollect the five most Epic Win and Epic Fail moments of my life--this year.
2009 Epic Fail
NO FUN RUN
I'm already on my second year now but I still have to attend that run. It stays on my mind. I don't want this thing to stop me from graduating. I feel bad whenever I remember this thing. I don't want this thing to stay on my mind forever. This redefined my future. I have to take another PE 1 FPF class again in the future. And that's Epic Fail!
MATH ELEVEN
I hate Mathematics. I hate Math Eleven more. I took a removals exam for a 4.00 grade in this course twice. I was able to pass it. But I was not able to erase that mark in my transcript. It will stay their forever. A memory. A remembrance. A mark. It will always tell me that I'm never that good. Damn. One of my downs last semester.
SECOND SEMESTER SCHEDULE
My schedule this semester is really epic. I got a major different schedule compared to my friends this semester. I don't have friends to accompany me. You know how it feels, right? No one to walk with, to talk with. Haha. I'm getting so emo here. I eat lunch alone. I walk in the mall alone. I'm not that type of person. I always want someone to be with me. I'm talkative. You can't talk unless you're with somebody, right? CRS, you're an epic fail. You should know that by now. The good thing is, I get home early.
CELLPHONE
If you haven't heard yet, I lost my phone recently. I left it in the Jeep. That was my first ever postpaid phone. I miss it. You don't have to buy load, I enjoy unlimited internet surfing and I can call anyone. There's something different when you're on postpaid than on prepaid. But my old cellphone is still awesome.
PLANNER
I failed. I was not able to sustain my eagerness to write in my planner until the end of this year. I stopped. Because I'm lazy like that.
YOU
No questions. You know who you are. :)
2009 Epic Win
FIRST IN FIVE YEARS
After five years, to be precise, after elementary years, I've achieved something academic-related again. I was looking for this when I was still in High School. But I failed. I graduated with nothing at all. Just a plain-your average-type-of-student type. This is an academic achievement. Don't tell me I'm over-reacting. One of the ups this year! A College Scholar, an academic achievement at last.
FBCP
Freshman Block Coordination Program. I'm so proud that I got in here in this program. I'm so proud of my FBCP family. I miss them. Everything that you need is already here. The laughs, the love, the friendship, the sadness, the commitment, the failure. Everything. A family.
BASIC MASS INTEGRATION
I joined a BMI activity for our Political Science 14 class. We went to Bulacan and stayed for two days and a night in an upland farming village there. We live with the people there. It's so nice to be with them. Their simplicity will awe you. Happiness is really that simple. This activity changed me. Changed my life. I joined Anakbayan because of this. Proud to be! Lumalakas, Lumalawak, Lumalaban!
CLEVEARGUELLES dotcom
I'm giving this part of my life two points for epic win moments. Yes, two points. I'm so happy that someone did offered me mainstream blogging. Thanks Kuya JC, Kuya Tonyo and Kuya Alps.
Don't overdo your 2010 guys. I know this post is not that good. I will try to do another year-ender. Definitely.
Luck will be on us! Definitely.
Welcome 2010!
Leave me some love. Tell me you pass by!

Of Planners and Plans
Next semester, I have been planning to do many things. I even asked my friend Des Santos to make a deal that one has to follow its to do list religiously. A fine should be given if the list will not be followed. One of the things in this list is to use my planner religiously. I'm liking the word religiously. I actually have two planners for this year. I was able to use them but I got tired that I stopped using them after a good three months. I was disappointed. I want the OC Planner type of person.
UP Planner
I own a planner by the UP Diliman Centennial University Student Council. I bought it for 350 pesos or 400 pesos? I can't remember. I have this mild memory loss when it comes to prices. Its actually good and formal. Not very formal, just executive-ish.

UP Planner
I can't find a picture of a real sample of the planner in the net. I'm too lazy to take pictures of it and upload it on PC. It's just too complicated. I was able to use it as a journal. It served as a diary of some sort for me. It also served as my accounts sheet. I wrote my daily and future expenses there. I also tried to collect all the receipts just to make sure that all is written. But when my expenses got complicated and I can't keep track of my transactions, I stopped using this. Its easy to be lazy.
Blogberry Planner
I also own a planner from the Stradmore. Des Santos convinced me to buy this planner because it's suited to college students. I was convinced even if it meant another unnecessary expense for me. The looks and the features inside are so tempting. I bought the Stradmore's Blogberry University Lifestyle Planner. Its about 300 or 400 pesos. I can't remember.

Blogberry University Lifestyle Planner (Stradmore)
It's distributed by the ever-reliable National Bookstore. I bought the green one because it's my favorite color. I used it as my scheduler and my goal planner. It's useful for students because it's patterned after the academic year. I write my 'goals to achieve' here. After a month, I will do a self-evaluation. Its quite fulfilling. But it requires a lot of work. I'm too lazy to do it every now and then. After two months, I stopped. I realized I can't maintain a journal or a planner. Saaaad. But I will try to change that lifestyle next semester. This has to be a planner semester.

I have been thinking also if I should work again as a student assistant. This time, I want to work in the Graduate Program Office of the College of Arts and Science or GPAS. I need to buy a new phone. My current phone reboots itself whenever it wants to. It also has this 'sim card registration failed' syndrome. I hate this phone but I can't buy a replacement. I still have a spare phone as part of my postpaid freebie but that phone is like a stone age phone. It hangs whenever I tried to send multiple messages. It sucks. Talking about my postpaid. I'm trying to control myself because my previous bill is 1,700 pesos. I pay my own bills. I can't maintain a plan like that. Anyway, let's all enjoy our semestralbreak!
I plan not to go to the memorial park this coming all soul's/saint's day. I'm not convinced why do I have to visit them.

I still don't know who should be voted as the next President in the coming election. As if. As if I can vote in 2010. Haha. Yeah, I still can't get over it. The fact that all my friends will be able to vote in 2010 makes it so hard for me to accept it. I was born January 1993. And that means, that I will not be 18 years old in 2010. Wala lang. Naalala ko lang. I'm politically aware naman COMELEC, can you please make me an exception? Haha.

I was not able to attend the UP Manila Student Summit. That's sad. Something happened with my mom. Aww. It was organized by the Office of Student Regent and REV-UP MANILA which is an alliance of different sectors in UP Manila. It was held at the 8th Floor of Philippine General Hospital Social Hall with its theme as, "Consolidate our Ranks, Intensify our Fight for our Democratic Rights." It served as the Student Regent's way to consult us students of UPM with our grievances. It was also there where they made a draft of the UP MANILA DEMANDS which will be passed to the highest policy-making body of the UP system, the Board of Regents. Sana nandun ako di'ba? I'd like to say sorry to Ate Ces, Ate Kamz and Ate Mia.

I'm now using Plurk, Tumblr, Twitter and Y! Meme for micro-blogging needs. Which will I choose to maintain kaya? Haha. In the coming weeks, I'll choose one. Kasi parang i'm just posting mirror blogs to different sites eh. And that's not good, I think. Parang you're just blogging in that site for the sake of it! Eek.

And oh, my mom has four free tickets for a trip to Corregidor. And you know what? It was given to her by Avelino Razon, the Presidential Adviser for Peace Process. So, WTH? Right? Rumors said that he's planning to run for the coming election as the mayor of the city of Manila. Gah. Premature campaigning much. My mother is a PTCA Federation President. It's not my mom's first time for these kind of things. She was invited too by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Chairman Bayani Fernando, Manila Councilor Numero Lim, Manila Vice Mayor Francisco Domagaso, and Manila Representative Jaime Lopez. Spell patronage politics.

I saw this at an SM department store. This is very practical and very helpful. If you know me, I always use my umbrella, mainit man o maulan. So, if you want to give me something that I will always use, this can be it. I like this particular umbrella in the picture. It's very thin or slim and it's automatic. Sleek! Any dark color! We can walk and use this umbrella. Just if you want.

Hindi Ako Magnanakaw
I have just seen the "Hindi Ako Magnanakaw" advertisement of Noynoy Aquino in the TV. Few words. It's a clear proof of how hollow his candidacy is. The lack of substance and competence.
The Mother and the Son
If you haven't watch the advertisement yet, here's a link of his video on Youtube: Hindi Ako Magnanakaw. Or if you're too lazy to watch, you can just read the content of his speech/Ad.
His advertisement maybe Oscars worthy when it comes to acting and delivery (first time that he was able to decently deliver a speech) but it is as I've said hollow and does not provide an insight to what his platform really is. But I think the team or the person who did this Ad for Noynoy deserves a commendation. Making Noynoy appears to be normal (while speaking) is a serious feat for anyone plus the fact that you can be affected by the Ad (like how Maalaala Mo Kaya does it). I can't believe that a politician in the Philippines did really produced an advertisement that does not include any dancers, singers, celebrities (with torches) or any dramatic scenes with the poor and other people. It's as if the director borrowed the idea from the phenomenal simple music video of Beyonce's Single Ladies.
But how about his promises? I've heard some people that Noynoy is the only candidate that is against corruption, Arroyo and any other problems of the current government. But how true it is, really? Telling people that you will fight corruption does not tell anything. Everyone says so, even Arroyo or Estrada. It's a promise. A hollow promise. Noynoy does not have any monopoly of being the anti-Arroyo or the anti-corruption thing. Every politician in the Philippines claims that they are anti-corruption. But no one practices it.
Anyone can say, "Hindi Ako Magnanakaw."
What? Do you expect to be distinguished from other presidentiables because you said this line? Do you expect Villar or Teodoro to not answer the same thing? For God's sake. What are you trying to do?
How exactly will you do these things? We need the hows. All presidentiables claim that they will be doing these same things that you've said. The difference lies in how will you be able to do it. And what do you exactly mean by"Laban?" Here's an interview with NoynoyAquino conducted by UtakngTilapia:
It's either he will answer our how questions with Laban or like how my mom did it. Put on your thinking cap voters. This is not the president that we need.
