Project 365: A Year in A Life
525, 600 minutes,
525, 000 moments so dear.
525, 600 minutes, how do you measure - measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee.
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife. In number- how do you measure a year in the life?
-Seasons of Love, from Rent
I have a serious Rent hangover since the day I've seen it. I love the song Seasons of Love because of its lyrics. It's dramatic but at the same time rejoicing. Right? I'm mentioning the song because of Project 365. Yes, I'm on Project 365. I've figured that this is a good way to measure a year in the life. Corny? I actually got the idea from Bryan ( Kuya Bryan, LOL ). But I know that Project 365 was not his idea, i think the project has been going around for already six or seven years.
It actually made me excited because I will be doing a dare-yourself-for-the-whole-year thing. It is a test of commitment and constancy. Sort of. I initially thought that it will be about taking pictures of yourself everyday for a year. But it was kinda off because, i think, no one is that interested and that weird to actually like to see your face for everyday for a year. Right? So instead of that, I will be taking one picture a day of things (can be people) that made my day interesting or memorable for a year. Sounds cool, right? I will post it here in my blog ( weekly or daily or randomly) and will try to put some meaningful captions to make it more interesting.
This will be fun. I'd love to see the pictures after a year. It's like an album of what happened the whole year. It's a scrapbook. A journal. A diary. I hope it will really be able to measure my year. I'd love to see how my look changes and how things/people around me changes too. Cool, right?
I will be providing links of some of the helpful tips I've found on the internet on how to this project. Here they are:
> Project 365: How to Take a Photo a Day and See Your Life in a Whole New Way
> Tips for Shooting One Photo a Day for 365 Days
> Project 365: Take a photo a day for a year
I'm not a photographer or anything that has something to do with pictures. I don't have an awesome slash expensive digital camera. I just want to try this because I want to see how things change. I really think that this will be fun.I now have four pictures in my camera. I will post it soon. You can try it too next year! 2010 is the year of my P-365!

Anyone interested in watching an on-stage Filipino rendition of Rent this February? Please? Please?

The Launch: CleveArguelles dotcom
Yes, you heard it right. I mean you read it right. You're here in my own share of space in mainstream blogging (mainstream, FTW!). Welcome to CleveArguelles dotcom!
I started blogging November of 2008 and never expected that I’d be able to break into mainstream blogging this early nor have I ever planned to have my own domain and site. But now, we find ourselves here, my new home, that of your very own Ilustrado. CleveArguelles dotcom is destined for greatness (Woah!). Seriously, I’m so excited and overwhelmed by this. You know how much egotistic I am. I so love this because I now have my own domain. I love the fact that it is named after me. You know how much I want to be different things’ namesake.
Of course I didn’t do it alone; I was able to receive a lot of help from my fellow bloggers (Yes, fellow bloggers!). The two people behind this greatness and awesomeness are Kuya Tonyo and Kuya JC. It’s just right to acknowledge their efforts in helping me break into mainstream blogging. Kuya JC (or John Carl, I just learned recently that he’s quite older) gave me a domain. Yes, he gave me that clevearguelles.com! I’m not a fan of computer codes and such and he’s also always there to provide me helpful information regarding this very mainstream blogging. Thanks for the patience! Kuya Tonyo, on the other hand, gave me a share of his space in the web (or webhosting) for free. I can’t believe this kind of people still exist nowadays. Aside from them, I would like to say thank you to Des Santos, Ashley Astibe and Kuya Alps for helping me directly/indirectly improve the contents and the layout of this site. You know how much illiterate I am in English grammar and layout designs. Also, thank you to Kuya Robert for making a banner for me.; unfortunately, I will not be able to use it. Thanks, anyway.
It's hard to say goodbye to my old partner. (See the top blogs counter)
But CleveArguelles dotcom will be my new partner. I hope that I will be able to enjoy its company and hope that you guys will be able to enjoy it too. Plus, if you’re bored, you can always click the ads displayed here (LOL). This is still a personal blog, just with a new partner! I promise to make this site a habit for me and for you guys, too (Naks!). Please appreciate my theme, I spent half of my life looking for a decent fitting theme. It’s really hard to choose a theme and customization is a fail for me!
Spread the word!
CleveArguelles dotcom, your bite-sized pieces of awesomeness. And oh, please! Link please! Update your links! :)
